A Concert

We were fortunate to be able to see one of our favorite musicians tonight. Shaun Groves was performing in Lebanon, TN.

Finding the place was not easy. It seems the church that was hosting the event has at least a couple of addresses on their website, neither of which are actually where they meet. Sadly, it was almost as if they had gone out of their way to keep people from coming to the show.

Despite the "opening act" that consisted of the church worship leader who went into a frank discussion about his divorce and struggles with porn... (thanks for the disclaimer! My 3 year old really needed that!)... The Shaun Groves performance was great.

Shaun also shared his experience with a group called Compassion International.

After the show, we were able to speak with him for a little while. Gloria walked around and grabbed his pants legs. He kicked her gently. Just kidding.

We shared how God is working in our lives and he shared with us some of the same. He is also taking the "road less traveled". You know, I tend to think that you're not really doing God's work, unless most of your family and friends think you are crazy. It is very reassuring to see someone who God is working through like Shaun.

You guys should check out The Sean Michael Currier Band at They are a popular Christian band, and Sean (vocals, keys, guitar) is a good friend of mine. They play shows all over, including plenty of them in the Nashville area.
