What we did this evening...



He was only 10 weeks old, and free-ranged to boot, so he was kinda small. We didn't age the meat in the fridge, but rather cooked it right away. He was quite tasty, though a little tough.


We also processed 4 pints of strawberry jam.

Wow! We had our second chicken last night. It was soooo good! I aged it for two days in the fridge and then cut it up and pressure cooked it for 20 minutes. YUMMY! It is exciting to raise our own food. :-D

This is---might I say---disturbing. The only thing worse that I can think of is when we video taped every stage of slaughtering and preparing the chickens we ate last year. :0
