Faith

Last night, a young lady told me that she had begun last summer to pray for God to send someone to work with the children who are coming to our church. Last summer... when God turned our world upside down and shook us out of our comfort zone. When He showed us we were living only to serve ourselves and needed to live out what we believe. When He used a series of trials to bring us to totally fall upon His mercy and grace. He told us that our lives needed to be wholly pleasing to him and being Sunday morning Christians was not acceptable. And that is what Faith was praying for. "God, please send someone to work with these children." She saw a need in her community and turned to God to fill it. God does answer prayer. It was nice to get to hear about some of the prayer that sparked the change in our lives; to get a chance to meet someone who was praying for us but didn't even know us.

I love your posts! They are so encouraging. All the prayers being answered in your life (with and/or without your knowledge) are just evidence that you're smack dab in the center of God's will for you life!

It is very humbling and we are very appreciative of what we have been able to witness, considering how wholly undeserving we are.

It is just an example of what the Master potter can do with even the most uninteresting lump of clay.

If more people would just commit to be available to do what God lays before them, I can't help but think how quickly His kingdom would come.... how His will would be done.

Instead, we let finances, luxury items, food, sports... you name it... occupy our time and absorb our resources that are made for so much more. We keep what is lowly, instead of gaining what is Holy.
